About the role

  • Senior Data Analyst focusing on HR analytics in hybrid role at Providence Health Care. Analyzing large datasets to support strategic decision-making and promote data-driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover patterns and trends in workforce behavior, performance, and engagement
  • Develop clear and impactful narratives using data visualizations and storytelling techniques to communicate insights to diverse audiences, from frontline managers to executive leadership
  • Partner with HR leaders to identify key business questions and deliver data-driven recommendations that support talent acquisition, retention, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and workforce development
  • Design and maintain intuitive, interactive dashboards that provide real-time visibility into HR metrics
  • Build and deploy predictive models to forecast workforce trends, such as attrition risk, hiring needs, and employee engagement
  • Liaises between HR, Finance, IT, and Operations, ensuring alignment in data definitions, reporting standards, and strategic priorities
  • Lead data quality by implementing rigorous validation processes
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance
  • Evaluate existing reporting processes and tools and recommend enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Human Resources, Business Analytics, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent, related experience in HR analytics or business intelligence, preferably within the healthcare sector
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and reports
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for data extraction, manipulation, and statistical modeling
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods including regression, clustering, time-series forecasting, and machine learning techniques
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or PeopleSoft
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and enterprise data architecture
  • Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formula development
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead analytics projects and deliver strategic insights to senior leadership
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
