About the role
- FBI Personnel Security Specialist conducting security investigations and risk analysis for national security. Overseeing security program functions and managing personnel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee personnel security investigations
- Apply technical expertise as an investigator and/or adjudicator
- Analyze complex security information to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations
- Support high-level personnel security determinations and risk mitigation efforts
- Assist with oversight and execution of security program functions
- Potentially manage security programs and personnel as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in federal law enforcement OR fifteen (15) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field
- Alternative education/experience substitution: Associate’s degree with twelve (12) years of experience in federal law enforcement OR seventeen (17) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field ( must be approved by the Contracting Officer of the Order)
- Technical training/certification as an investigator and/or adjudicator is required
- Prior security management experience preferred
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required
