About the role

  • FBI Personnel Security Specialist conducting security investigations and risk analysis for national security. Overseeing security program functions and managing personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee personnel security investigations
  • Apply technical expertise as an investigator and/or adjudicator
  • Analyze complex security information to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations
  • Support high-level personnel security determinations and risk mitigation efforts
  • Assist with oversight and execution of security program functions
  • Potentially manage security programs and personnel as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in federal law enforcement OR fifteen (15) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field
  • Alternative education/experience substitution: Associate’s degree with twelve (12) years of experience in federal law enforcement OR seventeen (17) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field ( must be approved by the Contracting Officer of the Order)
  • Technical training/certification as an investigator and/or adjudicator is required
  • Prior security management experience preferred
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required
