About the role

  • Manager of Scientific Programs overseeing PCF’s global scientific knowledge exchange and communications programs. Collaborating with researchers and clinicians to track advancements in prostate cancer research.

Responsibilities

  • Manage PCF’s global scientific knowledge exchange initiatives, including tracking worldwide prostate cancer research developments.
  • Organize and support PCF scientific webinars, working group meetings, and scientific conferences.
  • Attend scientific meetings and symposia to identify and assess prostate cancer research with high-impact potential.
  • Maintain scientific currency in global prostate cancer research through conference participation, comprehensive literature review, and critical scientific and medical analysis.
  • Identify emerging discoveries and research trends across diverse fields that are relevant to PCF’s mission and funding priorities.
  • Generate scientific reports, manuscripts, and enduring scientific materials.
  • Participate in the development of PCF’s publication and scientific communication strategy.
  • Collaborate with other PCF departments to develop accurate, high-quality scientific communications.
  • Provide oversight of scientific information released by the Foundation.
  • Collaborate in the oversight of pre- and post-award administration of PCF’s multidisciplinary, multi-million-dollar prostate cancer research award portfolio.
  • Manage PCF’s career development programs for early-career researchers.
  • Serve as a point of contact and liaison between PCF and key investigators, clinicians, biopharmaceutical partners, and the broader scientific community.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with PCF Communications and Development teams.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) in Life Sciences or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in scientific writing for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with scientists, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
  • Expertise in using online and scientific databases for literature searches and information retrieval.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and scientific databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Keen interest in cancer biology and translational research.
