About the role

  • Business Analyst Intern joining Proofpoint's cybersecurity team to enhance operational efficiency through technology and analytics. Collaborating across departments for strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, test, and provide feedback on third-party tools (e.g., project management, time tracking, resource allocation, automation platforms) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new tools into existing workflows and drive adoption.
  • Support system administration for Professional Services tooling, including configuration, user support, and troubleshooting.
  • Design, create, update, and maintain business reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into operational performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Document, analyze, and maintain process workflows for the Professional Services team.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in service delivery processes and propose data-driven optimizations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key business processes.
  • Act as a liaison between Professional Services, IT, and other departments to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Provide training and documentation to end-users on new processes and tools.
  • Work with leadership to support strategic initiatives related to scalability, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that optimize business operations and workflows.

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach to operational challenges.
  • Exposure to with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • General understanding of business process documentation, workflow automation, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Strong motivation to identify and solve key business problems.
  • Experience with project management, professional services automation (PSA) or CRM systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
