Presales Engineer serving as a technical interface between sales, partners, and customers in the DACH region at Promethean. Supporting sales processes and ensuring smooth technical handover after project completion.
Responsibilities
Technical presales support (hardware & software) for sales processes and for central tenders/RFPs, both remotely and on-site at customer locations or at the Promethean office in Essen.
Close collaboration with the Area Sales Manager throughout the entire sales and tendering process.
Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions that integrate into existing IT infrastructures.
Serve as the technical point of contact for key customers and partners on product-related questions.
Deliver technical training for customers, partners and internal stakeholders (installation, configuration, maintenance).
Collect, document and track product improvements and technical feedback related to tenders.
Log bugs and enhancement requests in internal systems and act as the technical interface to support and escalation teams.
Support partners and customers with escalated technical cases, primarily in collaboration with Support.
Develop technical and audiovisual training materials for partners and customers in the German-speaking market.
Assist with the installation and configuration of internal IT equipment for new employees in accordance with company standards.
Maintain demo equipment and technical setups for customer presentations and training sessions.
Requirements
Technical background in IT, AV, hardware/software solutions or technical support.
Experience in presales, technical consulting or other customer-facing technical roles.
Strong presentation and communication skills with a confident manner when engaging customers and partners.
Structured, solution-oriented working style.
Willingness to travel within the region, including overnight stays.
Experience with Promethean solutions or comparable technologies is an advantage — comprehensive product training will be provided.
