Customer Application Engineer supporting enterprise customers on Progress Sitefinity. Troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for customers using Progress Sitefinity, troubleshooting platform configuration, application behavior, and product-related issues.
Investigate complex technical problems involving C#, ASP.NET, web technologies, and integrations.
Debug application issues using tools such as Visual Studio, log analysis, and stack trace investigation.
Troubleshoot deployments and configuration issues on Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
Diagnose database-related problems using Microsoft SQL Server, including query troubleshooting and performance analysis.
Reproduce customer-reported issues in internal environments to determine root causes and validate solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate product defects and provide detailed technical analysis.
Assist customers with integrations involving REST APIs, third-party services, and custom implementations.
Provide guidance on best practices for configuring, deploying, and optimizing Sitefinity implementations.
Support customer environments operating within SaaS and PaaS architectures, including cloud deployments.
Manage and prioritize multiple technical cases while maintaining strong customer communication.
Contribute to internal knowledge bases by documenting troubleshooting steps and solutions.
Requirements
Strong experience with C# and ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC
Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser debugging tools
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server
Experience troubleshooting applications hosted on Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
Familiarity with debugging and development tools such as Visual Studio
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
Nice to Have Experience working with Progress Sitefinity or other enterprise CMS platforms.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
Familiarity with SaaS and PaaS deployment models
Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and system interoperability
Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or version control systems such as Git
Knowledge of application performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
