About the role

  • Donor Engagement & Events Manager at Planned Parenthood Western Pennsylvania leading community events and managing annual fundraising appeals. Collaborating with Development Team to meet goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaboratively with all members of the Development Team to meet the development goals of PPWP.
  • Successfully lead community events, and manage PPWP ‘s annual fundraising appeals.
  • Provide support in donor research and stewardship initiatives.
  • Manage PPWP’s Annual Fund and Event fundraising goals and develop strategies to successfully meet these goals.
  • Create and implement an annual strategy for cultivating and stewarding grassroots and mid-level donors through social media, events, email, and other innovative techniques.
  • Assist in generating and sending/producing annual mailings including monthly Planniversary, Year-End and Holiday appeal letters.
  • Create, implement, and manage PPWP’s digital campaigns.
  • Conduct both proactive and reactive prospect research and provide profiles for major gift and campaign donors/prospects.
  • Update and maintain information in the donor database.
  • Prepare prospect/donor briefing documents for CEO, VP of Development, and Director of Donor Engagement.
  • Participate in Individual Giving strategy meetings with the VP of Development and Director of Donor Engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of Three year’s fundraising experience
  • Manage and organize multiple deadline-oriented projects.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and persuasive communications that reflect high attention to detail.
  • Work independently and take the initiative.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential materials and situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as events require.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff, board members, volunteers, and the public in a positive and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem-solve under deadlines and pressure.
  • A high degree of integrity that garners the trust and respect of others.
