About the role
- Senior Tax Planning Analyst leading tax reform projects and supporting various departments at Portobello. Responsible for tax legislation updates and tax planning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead on Tax Reform projects, supporting business areas with technical specifications and providing company-wide guidance on related matters;
- Monitor and follow up on actions for the implementation of Tax Planning projects;
- Keep tax legislation up to date, advising business areas to ensure correct taxation across all group operations;
- Participate in tax studies for new transactions and operations;
- Oversee tax planning initiatives and assess their impact on the company’s cash flow;
- Monitor, review and renew tax incentives and benefits;
- Provide support to the tax team regarding tax legislation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Law or Economics;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with direct taxes (IRPJ and CSLL under the Lucro Real regime) and indirect taxes (ICMS, PIS and COFINS);
- Advanced proficiency in Excel;
- Experience in tax recovery projects;
- Knowledge of and up-to-date awareness of legislation related to the Tax Reform.
- MBA in Controllership or Financial Economics, or postgraduate degree in taxation;
- Desirable: practical experience with indirect taxes (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS), ancillary obligations and taxation/withholdings.
