Finance Manager overseeing financial operations for Bird & Blend Tea Co., an eco-conscious tea company. Leading day-to-day finance functions while ensuring compliance and efficiency across financial practices.
Responsibilities
Overseeing day to day bookkeeping processes, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
Ensuring company financial policies are followed, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance efficiency
Working closely with the People & Culture team to prepare monthly payroll for external payroll provider, ensuring all relevant administration is free from error and completed within strict deadlines
Overseeing month end close activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of processes
Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
Supervise credit control procedures to ensure timely collection of receivables, managing and processing weekly payment runs and ensure accounts payables ledger is accurate and up to date
Manage short term cashflow to support daily operations
Ad hoc financial support to the business where necessary
Requirements
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in financial management within a commercial or industry environment.
Experience of payroll preparation
Experience of people management
Experienced user of Xero
Meticulous attention to detail
Awareness of compliance and risk management
Ability to proactively manage own workload and delegate as appropriate
Excellent communication skills
