About the role

  • Outsourcing & Vendor Manager at Pliant overseeing compliance and risk frameworks. Engaging with vendors and ensuring adherence to regulations in a growing fintech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the second line owner for outsourcing, and third-party risk oversight
  • Support compliance in the reliance framework
  • Assure that policies, procedures and templates are up to date
  • Ensure outsourcing and reliance arrangements are properly classified, documented and approved
  • Provide independent challenge and supervision of first-line outsourcing and vendor processes
  • Support risk reporting and internal governance committees
  • Oversee onboarding of new vendors, outsourcing arrangements
  • Support Compliance with onboarding of new reliance partners and oversight
  • Coordinate due diligence and risk assessments with internal stakeholders
  • Track documentation, approvals and risk reviews
  • Support periodic vendor reviews and renewals
  • Perform sample testing and quality reviews of outsourcing and reliance partners
  • Assist with offboarding and exit tracking
  • Maintain and update the central outsourcing and third-party register
  • Support preparation and maintenance of the DORA Register of Information
  • Ensure data quality and completeness
  • Support regulatory reporting and supervisory information requests
  • Support mapping of critical vendors and external dependencies
  • Support internal and external audits related to outsourcing, reliance and vendor risk
  • Contribute to monitoring plans and thematic reviews
  • Prepare management information, dashboards and risk insights
  • Support training and awareness initiatives for first-line teams
  • Support documentation of exit strategies and contingency plans
  • Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, IT, Legal, Finance and business teams
  • Support internal stakeholders in following outsourcing procedures
  • Support training and awareness initiatives on outsourcing and vendor governance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk, Law, IT or similar
  • 2–5 years of experience in one or more of : Risk management, Third-party or vendor risk management, Consulting or audit in financial services/tech, Operations in a regulated fintech or financial institution
  • Strong interest in outsourcing, vendor risk and operational resilience
  • Basic knowledge (or willingness to learn) of: EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, Third-party risk management
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Detail-oriented and structured working style
  • Ability to manage documentation and spreadsheets
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English (Finnish is a plus but not required)
