About the role

  • Strategic Marketing & Communications Lead at Playgroup NSW focusing on brand awareness and revenue generation through digital and community channels. Leading initiatives for effective outreach and engagement with stakeholders and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, implement and monitor our strategic marketing and communications strategy.
  • Oversee website, social media, newsletters, advertising, policy papers, brand development, content management, media and public relations with consistency at every touchpoint.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for government relations, funding diversification including grants, partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, social enterprise opportunities, and other tested approaches.
  • Manage creative development, content, and digital advertising to promote programs, events, significant days, and partnerships.
  • Partner with internal teams to support their marketing and collateral needs.
  • Track and analyse campaign performance, engagement metrics and ROI to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage marketing budgets, monitor expenditure and oversee agency and supplier relationships.
  • Oversee impactful marketing for family, community and fundraising events, ensuring strong brand presence and sponsor visibility.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • End-to-end strategic marketing and communications acumen with demonstrated impact.
  • Strong digital, SEO, web, content and social media marketing skills.
  • Experience in fundraising, community giving, sponsorships or partnership development.
  • A natural communicator with exceptional writing and verbal skills, with a strong storytelling voice.
  • Strong organisational skills and acute attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, monitor workflow, follow and give directions, maintain deadlines, exercise initiative and judgement in changing environments.
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven approach to drive continuous improvement and growth.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Canva, Adobe Creative or similar platforms.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit, community or family services sector (Desirable).
