Responsibilities
- The Senior Presidential Writer serves as the strategic architect and guardian of the President & CEO’s voice.
- Partner directly with the President and senior leaders to create compelling original content.
- Develop and execute the President’s messaging strategy.
- Create speeches, remarks, talking points, memos, and video scripts.
- Monitor news and trends that can be used to shape content and provide rapid-response communications.
- Travel with the President & CEO to observe key speaking engagements and advise on messaging.
Requirements
- 12 years of speechwriting experience for high profile organizational leaders
- Proven track record of shaping a leader’s voice and narrative at the national level
- Flexibility to travel and occasionally work outside regular business hours
- Previous management experience seeing to direct reports’ growth and success
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, learn and process information quickly
- Excellent ability to conceive, draft, proofread, and edit written materials quickly
- High proficiency in Google products
