About the role

  • Director of Compliance leading ethical, regulatory, and risk management at Planned Parenthood. Ensuring adherence to compliance frameworks and operational excellence with strategic leadership in Michigan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for enterprise-wide compliance, ethics and risk management programs.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and ethical practices.
  • Serve as Deputy Compliance Officer and Deputy HIPAA Privacy Officer.
  • Partner with executive leaders and ensure robust oversight and accountability.
  • Act as trusted advisor on ethical, regulatory compliance, and risk-related matters.
  • Lead the design and implementation of integrated compliance, and risk management framework.
  • Monitor compliance training and communication strategies to strengthen staff competency.
  • Direct internal audits and investigations and manage relationships with regulators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Legal Studies, Compliance, Risk Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible senior leadership experience in healthcare compliance, ethics, and risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Michigan local, state and federal healthcare regulations
  • Proven track record in enterprise compliance program development, risk management, internal investigations, and audit success.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at the executive and governance levels.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Experience in managing external regulatory relationships, audits, and inspections.
  • Advanced analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High ethical standards, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives in collaboration with other functional areas
