About the role

  • Account Executive responsible for prospecting and closing new business for Planet's imaging data across Asia-Pacific markets. Join a dynamic sales team with growth opportunities at a space and data company.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close a continuous pipeline of opportunities
  • Maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com
  • Forecast business and sales pipeline as required by management
  • Up and cross-sell opportunities, probe for additional contacts with projects/opportunities
  • Achieve and surpass all stated goals for the position
  • Work with Marketing to conduct seminars, assist with trade shows, and other marketing related events

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in closing sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Relevant experience in the Defense industry
  • Experience coordinating small to medium transactions
  • Experience working within a quota and commission structure
  • Fluency in English, the language of our company
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
  • A track record of overachieving Sales goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and have a results-oriented approach
