About the role
- Software Engineer Intern contributing to software solutions development at Pinata. Collaborating with experienced teams, coding, debugging, and enhancing technical skills during summer internship.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering team: Work closely with experienced engineers to contribute to design, development, and testing.
- Coding and debugging: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Debug and troubleshoot issues.
- Learn and adapt: Quickly learn new technologies and methodologies. Adapt to changing project requirements and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions.
- Collaborative problem-solving: Engage in team discussions to analyze problems, propose solutions, and actively participate in the decision-making process.
- Testing and quality assurance: Contribute to the testing process by writing unit tests and participating in code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for code, design, and processes.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college, a university, a certified training institution, or some other institution of higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field
- Graduation date of Fall/Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter 2027 (You must have at least one semester remaining)
- Experience writing code in JavaScript and familiarity with other programming languages and tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- Commitment to a full-time internship from Monday, June 1, through Friday, August 7, 2026
