About the role

  • Elections Aide providing IT support for the Recorders Office's technological needs. Responsible for equipment management, help desk support, and assisting with election processes.

Responsibilities

  • Disposition and inventory of all IT equipment
  • Installation of networked devices such as scanners and peripherals
  • Testing of ballot on demand printers and other IT equipment
  • Help desk support for installation of software, modifying and repairing hardware, and resolving various technical issues
  • Work in bi-partisan teams to process early ballots for tabulation
  • Prepares election supplies and voting machines for delivery to poll locations
  • Makes minor mechanical repairs on voting equipment
  • Transports and receives election ballots, returns, and precinct supplies
  • Works in a bi-partisan team to troubleshoot problems on election day
  • Provides information to voters concerning the election

Requirements

  • Must be a registered voter with current registration in Pima County
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education as determined by the department head
  • Experience learning new technology, products, or technical knowledge
  • Experience with/knowledge of troubleshooting software or IT hardware
  • Experience working in a team environment
