Help sales team win more by providing locally relevant financing products and programs for both the private and public sector customers.
Originate & execute both vanilla and structured financing transactions based on trade financing products (Letters of Credit, Doc collection, Avalization, Factoring etc.), leasing structures such operating and financial leases, structured export and project financing structures utilizing ECA/EXIM and multi-lateral / institutional financing solutions etc.
Risk Analysis & Risk Management
Manage Risk to Philips by assessing deal structures and terms, manage due diligence process, engage with financial institutions & customers and negotiate deal terms and conditions, as appropriate.
Carry out detailed financial analysis of the client financials, feasibility reports and develop credit/investment proposals in line with Philips Capital policies and guidelines.
Support the Philips Capital Middle East & Africa (META) team for projects in the region, especially in credit evaluations, preparing proposals, internal memorandums and reporting
Back office support for financing transactions, including order booking, collections, monitoring, shipments and liaising with banks
Build relationships with key stakeholders and other business units / product specialists to incorporate their expertise and train the sales/business team on selling integrated value propositions from Philips (including financial solutions).
Participate in various industry seminars and conference to build presence of Philips Capital in healthcare and banking industry.
Requirements
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent.
10–12 years of professional experience in structured and project financing roles within the Middle East region, specifically with exposure across GCC markets (including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait) and Africa.
Proven background either in: The leasing arm of a financial institution, with dual experience in both credit/risk assessment and front-line origination (sales / relationship management) functions, including end-to-end deal execution's OR The captive financing or treasury function of a multinational corporate, particularly within healthcare technology, industrial, or infrastructure sectors; OR Corporate banking, with hands-on experience structuring both vanilla (LCs, SBLCs/BGs, Avalisation) and structured (receivables discounting, insurance- or ECA-backed, PPP-related) financing solutions; OR Credit insurance / export credit agency settings, with experience in cross-border transaction structuring and execution.
Solid financial modelling skills, with the ability to build and analyze P&L statements, cash flows, and balance sheets for complex financing structures.
Demonstrated experience arranging financing for healthcare or public-sector infrastructure projects in Middle East and Africa, including government and PPP-backed transactions.
Established network across regional banks, leasing companies, DFIs, and credit insurers active in the Middle East and Africa.
Familiarity with Islamic finance instruments (e.g., Ijara, Murabaha, Istisna) and their application in equipment or project finance transactions.
Experience working on ECA-supported, insured, or hybrid project financing structures in emerging markets.
Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic will be considered an advantage.
A collaborative and analytical mindset, able to bridge financial, commercial, and technical aspects of project evaluation.
