About the role

  • Student worker in legal and compliance at a digital care company. Involves supporting data protection and compliance initiatives with hands-on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the development, implementation and monitoring of data protection requirements (GDPR)
  • Participate in the development and oversight of compliance programs, trainings and policies
  • Maintain and further develop data protection documentation, including the record of processing activities and a data deletion concept
  • Support the rollout of an AI-supported training format for employees
  • Assist the staff unit with legal questions arising in day-to-day operations
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on data protection and compliance topics

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled at university, ideally in a program with a legal, business or IT focus
  • Basic knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and an understanding of legal fundamentals in compliance and IT law are desirable
  • Eagerness to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and make a tangible impact
  • Independent, conscientious and well-organized working style – also when handling multiple topics at once
  • Quick learner with enthusiasm for diving into new subject areas
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the willingness to contribute your own ideas
  • Good command of the full MS Office suite and experience with digital tools (e.g., Confluence, Miro, Jira)
  • Availability to support us regularly with 15–20 hours per week and willingness to come to our office in Hamburg's HafenCity at least once a week
