About the role

  • Medical Operations Associate providing operational support to various programs within Pfizer's Research & Development group. Focused on maintaining systems, processing data, and ensuring compliance with publication activities.

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Operations Associate provides primary operational support to various programs within Pfizer Research & Development (PRD) group.
  • Maintaining systems, Share Point sites and databases used for program management and operational excellence.
  • Perform quality control procedures on data requests to data package issuance, publications related documents & system data according to corresponding Pfizer SOPs and guidelines.
  • Process financial transactions and drug study data as requested.
  • Work closely with program and team leaders with necessary communication and coordination to ensure efficient program process and compliance.
  • Support publication activities by completing watch list checks and related forms.
  • Assist with access request to the Publication application to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with contracting with external partners ensuring that appropriate deliverables and clauses have been captured.
  • Verify management of monthly invoice processing from publication vendors (~200 invoices/month).
  • Assist with data quality review and process control to ensure compliance with publications SOP.
  • Capture metrics from each optimization activity in reports and dashboards to identify future process improvements.
  • Support training of Pfizer colleagues in best practices.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or an associate degree with 8+ years of experience with preference for a focus in finance, accounting, science, healthcare, or related field.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to edit, summarize and interpret complicated content effectively and concisely for better understanding.
  • High fluency in written English and strong functional fluency in spoken English.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Software: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a multidisciplinary, matrix team situation, and demonstrated ability to manage change and diversity.
  • Developed customer service skills and teamwork spirit.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in pharma, pharma internship, or closely related is a plus.
