About the role

  • Financial Analyst managing financial resources and budgets for Special Operations Forces Acquisition programs. Ensuring accuracy and compliance in budgetary execution and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees allocation of resources based on program requirements
  • Direct support to PM-level Lead for FM commodity area (Senior Finance Specialist) and Deputy Program Manager (DPM)
  • Composes, staffs, and tracks FM worksheets, budget exhibits, spend plans, and other required instruments per PEO/PM BFM policy and SOP
  • Review investment and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) budget data for technical and mathematical accuracy, format, adequacy of supporting narrative, and conformance with budgetary policy and guidelines
  • Continually monitor expenditures relative to planned execution levels
  • Develop cost‑benefit analyses of proposed budgetary and program actions and advise Comptroller staff on the most advantageous courses of action

Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Clearance: Must maintain a Secret clearance
  • Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency IAW the PWS (DAWIA level II equivalent)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or an Associate’s degree plus four additional years of experience.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in DoD Acquisition Financial Execution;
  • Knowledge of program planning, scheduling, budget planning/formulation, and cost analysis
  • Experience with automated tools.
  • Working experience in ABSS, DEAMS, MOCAS, and PBAS (Preferred).
