About the role

  • Manager Health, Safety & Wellbeing overseeing health standards and safety protocols for Haema. Ensuring safe operations and employee wellbeing across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, further developing and implementing our Health, Safety & Wellbeing management on a daily basis.
  • You will support, develop and coordinate our management system in close alignment with the global corporate framework.
  • You will analyze health- and safety-related risks, identify areas for action and design practical, sustainable improvements.
  • You will translate regulatory requirements into clear operational measures for our blood and plasma centers as well as administrative areas.
  • You will develop and coordinate training programs that strengthen safety, health awareness and a prevention-oriented culture.
  • You will carry out internal audits and support external inspections; you will derive effective measures from the results.
  • You will support the integration of ISO 45001 as well as regional prevention and wellbeing initiatives.
  • You will design programs addressing physical, mental and social health — from preventive care and vaccination protection to mental health offerings and resilience measures.
  • You will work closely with managers, center teams, HR and global stakeholders to embed a strong safety and health culture.

Requirements

  • You are an engineer, technician or master craftsman and have successfully completed the SiFa training course to qualify as a Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit).
  • Alternatively, you hold a degree in safety engineering (e.g., as a Safety Engineer), qualifying you for appointment as a Safety Specialist.
  • Qualification as a Safety Specialist in accordance with the German Occupational Safety Act (ASiG) and DGUV requirements.
  • Or: you are currently in training to become a Safety Specialist (SiFa course) — we actively support you in obtaining the required qualifications and appointment prerequisites.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Health & Safety, ideally in laboratory, production or healthcare environments.
  • Very good understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management and prevention.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and the ability to constructively support change processes.
  • High service orientation and enthusiasm for empowering people and actively shaping culture.
  • Very good German and English language skills, as you will also participate in the global H&S team.
  • Willingness to travel, as you will regularly visit our 40 sites.
