About the role
- Sr. DevOps Engineer designing and managing cloud platforms for Perforce’s SaaS product portfolio. Ensuring security, reliability, and high availability in production and CI/CD environments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing platforms and frameworks to create consistent, verifiable, and automatic management of applications and infrastructure between non-production and production environments
- Implement application security best practices throughout the agile SDLC
- Advocate for a DevOps culture at Perforce to ensure efficient testing, delivery, and deployment of all software artifacts
- Own end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence
- Execute technical design principles and practices and drive them across all product portfolios to make operation design a must-have phase of the development lifecycle
- Drive automation efforts to eliminate manual work with day-to-day operations
- Builds and maintains a stable and efficient Cloud infrastructure
- Identify and advocate opportunities for technical and cost-saving innovation.
- Raising support calls with vendors and involved in Root cause analysis for server and application problems.
- Troubleshoot problems, outages, and performance issues.
Requirements
- BS/MS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the SaaS software cloud operation space
- Deep understanding with solid experience of fundamental services on AWS & Azure like Compute, Network, Database, Security, Management & Observability
- Experience in managing and building CI/CD pipelines for system software, Operating Systems & libraries
- Experience with observability tools like Newrelic, Opensearch, Splunk, Jaeger, Prometheus, Garfana etc
- Hands-on in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Go, Java, Python
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker container technology
- Hands-on experience as a software developer and technical leader is a must
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud-based scalable web application architectures and technologies; AWS, GCP preferred
- Proficiency in driving secure SDLC with DevSecOps practices and metrics
- Hands-on development with infrastructure as code frameworks; Terraform and Serverless Framework a plus
- Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef etc.)
- Experience in DevOps automation tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure ARM templates
