Responsibilities
- Work on Credit, Debit, and Prepaid card processing systems
- Quickly resolve production issues and perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA)
- Enhance system stability and reduce recurring incidents
- Participate in system resiliency and disaster recovery (DR) activities
- Automate manual processes wherever possible
- Use monitoring tools to track performance, alerts, and system health
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams during issue investigations
Requirements
- 8 to 13 years’ experience in Mainframe Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support banking applications related to Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Prepaid Cards
- Good Experience in CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, COBOL
- Good Experience in automation
- Proficiency in data monitoring tools
- Knowledge of high availability and system resiliency concepts
- Ability to handle critical production incidents independently
- Added bonus if you have knowledge of REXX and Assembler
