About the role

  • Junior Payment Operations Officer in the Payment Operations team, ensuring timely, accurate, and seamless client funding experiences at Pepperstone.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate daily manual funding methods to client accounts in a timely manner.
  • Process all withdrawals within the same day and notify clients upon completion.
  • Liaise with banks and third‑party payment providers.
  • Respond to client enquiries promptly and accurately via Salesforce.
  • Conduct transaction monitoring from an AML perspective.
  • Perform withdrawal checks covering AML, fraud and jurisdiction requirements.
  • Identify and escalate suspected AML, TF, or Fraud cases.
  • Handle potential or confirmed card fraud cases per Compliance guidelines.
  • Monitor chargeback disputes and uphold T&Cs through name‑matching verification processes.
  • Action items from internal banking/PSP inboxes and clear them daily.
  • Respond to client queries via Salesforce within SLA.
  • Monitor and action messages in the Payment Operations Slack channel.
  • Support Reconciliation and Finance team requests for variances and ad‑hoc items.
  • Download transaction statements from banking portals and prepare daily reconciliation sheets.
  • Check deposit correctness and resolve payment/application errors.
  • Process daily cash adjustments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create or update internal knowledge base documentation.
  • Troubleshoot PSP issues and support Compliance with requested information.
  • Verify bank statements and ensure daily task completion.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or related fields (preferred but not essential).
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and strong problem‑solving ability.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in weekly/monthly shift rotations as required.
