Responsibilities
Build and lead a high performing commercial banking team responsible for identifying middle market prospects
Acquire new middle market clients and retain existing ones
Expand relationships with existing middle market clients
Create excitement around the organization’s product offerings
Collaborate with other Peoples Bancorp business units to identify and capitalize on commercial banking opportunities
Advocate Peoples Bancorp’s competitive advantages in commercial banking to the community
Present a compelling case for clients to conduct business with Peoples Bancorp
Manage and lead a commercial banking team, including recruiting and performance monitoring
Create a positive, collaborative work environment
Deliver performance feedback and conduct training on changes to regulations and policies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree is a plus
Ten plus years of sales experience in Commercial Banking with an organization known and respected for its Commercial Banking function
Experience prospecting and winning new business and expanding the organization’s presence in this highly desirable market
Demonstrated success in expanding client relationships to meet clients’ comprehensive commercial banking needs
Possess a working knowledge of credit and be able to deliver the breadth and depth of offerings to high-net-worth clients
Preferably, longevity in the Louisville and Lexington market areas and surrounding markets
Knowledge of the area’s business climate
Ability to access CFOs, CEOs and COIs
Active in professional, charitable or community organizations in the community
