About the role
- Research project focusing on design pattern analysis using AI models in journalism at PEIQ. Involves training and evaluating vision models to identify print design features.
Responsibilities
- Ziel dieser Forschungsarbeit ist es zu untersuchen, wie hochaufgelöste Printdesigns von Lokalzeitungen mithilfe moderner Vision-Modelle automatisiert analysiert und klassifiziert werden können.
- Modell-Exploration & Training: Benchmark verschiedener Architekturen durchführen und Unsupervised oder Semi-supervised Learning zur Cluster-Bildung von Design-Mustern nutzen.
- Prototyping: Begleitung der technischen Implementierung eines Identifikators, der Muster wie Spalten-Rhythmus, Font-Gewichtung und Bild-Text-Ratio extrahiert.
- Empirischer Vergleich: Evaluierung des spezialisierten Modells im Vergleich zu führenden Vision-LLMs hinsichtlich der Genauigkeit bei der Stilerkennung.
- Validierung: Test des Systems mit unbekannten Einzelseiten und Abgleich der Ergebnisse mit den tatsächlichen Styleguides der Verlage.
Requirements
- Technisch-analytisches Studium, bevorzugt mit Schwerpunkt im Bereich KI/Data Science
