About the role
- Head of Community at Manta Cares leading efforts to support and engage cancer patients and care-partners. Focused on community building and partnership development with nonprofits regarding cancer advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Build, nurture, and grow cancer patient and care-partner community across all channels
- Design, test, and implement engagement strategies that foster connection among cancer patients and care-partners
- Analyze the community support funnel to identify opportunities for improvement and future Manta Care’s product development
- Monitor and respond to requests coming through our website and app
- Provide technical support to community members using Manta's digital tools
- Develop and maintain relationships with non-profits, foundations, and patient-advocacy groups
- Enable partners to co-market the Manta platform
- Attend and facilitate patient-focused events
- Drive strategic initiatives that enhance direct interaction with the patient community
- Create, implement, and expand patient support programs
- Track program impact through qualitative and quantitative measures
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional experience
- Proven track record of designing, managing and scaling customer facing programs
- Background in relationship building and partnership development
- MBA education
- Prior early stage startup experience (ideally seed/series A)
- Experience in patient advocacy and partnering with non profits
- Personal connection to cancer as a patient, survivor or care-partner
