Responsibilities
Cultivates the organization's social community through community advocacy programs and active engagement with community members
Acts as the bridge between Humana Healthy Horizons and the community, planning and executing outreach programs and events
Aims to build and sustain relationships within the community, promote Humana’s mission and services, and create opportunities for engagement and participation
Identifying opportunities for community partnerships and collaborations
Organizing and managing community events, workshops, and meetings
Communicating with the community members to understand their needs and expectations
Coordinating volunteers and managing their tasks and schedules
Maintaining records of community engagement activities and preparing
Developing strategies to increase community involvement and engagement
Working with marketing and communications teams to promote community events and initiatives
Requirements
2+ years’ experience in a Community Engagement/Management or similar role
Must reside in the state of Virginia (Charlottesville, Danville, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, Louisa, Amherst, Halifax or Pittsylvania) and travel 3-5 days a week
Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office to include, Word, Excel, Power Point
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Understanding of community issues and dedication to addressing the needs of the community
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
