About the role

(Senior) AWS Cloud Consultant supporting enterprises with cloud strategies, focusing on AWS solutions and customer challenges. Building relationships for sustainable technological growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

Advisory client role (Trusted Advisor): Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with regular in-person meetings at the client's site.
Consultative selling in the AWS context: Actively listen, understand customer problems, and translate them into meaningful cloud and AWS use cases.
Holistic cloud consulting: Support customers with cloud strategies, organizational and transformation topics around AWS — not only technically but also functionally and economically.
Coordination & mediation: Act as the interface between the customer, internal experts and partners — you keep the threads together and ensure clarity and progress.
Topic identification & development: Proactively identify opportunities (e.g., modernization, cost optimization, innovation, security, data, AI) and drive these topics forward together with the customer.
Workshops & discussions: Design and facilitate customer workshops, strategy sessions and decision-making meetings.
Quality & added value: Ensure that AWS solutions deliver real business value and have a sustainable impact for the customer.

Several years of experience in the AWS environment, ideally in consultative, customer-facing roles.
Solid technical understanding of AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, basic architectural principles) — without the expectation to implement everything at a deep level yourself.
Strong communication and advisory skills and enjoyment of direct customer contact.
Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly, in a structured and audience-appropriate way.
Experience in stakeholder management across different levels (IT, business units, management).
Structured, coordinating work style and an interest in holistic customer relationships.
Fluent German and confident communication skills in English.
