About the role

  • Legal Intern supporting the General Counsel in legal research and document management. Contributing to regulatory demands and executive presentations in a fast-paced environment for a fintech company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to PayJoy's General Counsel on legal matters;
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research to support the team in analyzing legislation applicable to the business;
  • Organize and manage legal documents, including contracts, policies, and legal department records;
  • Monitor legal requests and proceedings, assisting with deadline tracking and communication with external law firms;
  • Prepare and review basic legal documents, such as drafts, memoranda, and internal communications;
  • Create and develop executive presentations for PayJoy leadership and executives, translating legal and regulatory information into clear, structured, and strategic materials;
  • Support preparation of materials for internal meetings and executive reports, ensuring information is organized and clear;
  • Collaborate with various areas of the company, helping to align business needs with legal team guidance.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Law degree (from the 7th semester / 4th year onward; evening program);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and creating presentations;
  • Spanish is a plus.
