About the role

  • Windows Server Administrator managing data center operations and optimizing cloud applications at Parts Europe. Collaborating with a multinational team to ensure 24/7 production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring, configuring and maintaining Windows Server operating systems and hardware in the data center environment (HP, Cisco UCS)
  • Support and optimize central Windows services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS) and handle second-level service requests
  • Further develop cloud and high-availability solutions and deploy systems in private and public cloud environments
  • Create performance analyses, perform root-cause analyses and troubleshooting, and derive optimizations for operating systems, hardware and processes
  • Ensure 24/7 operation of production systems, plan and document server resources, and support cross-departmental projects

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or a degree (Computer Science, Business Informatics)
  • At least five years of experience operating 24/7 production systems
  • In-depth knowledge of administering Windows Server operating systems (AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, file and print services), WSUS and Windows clients
  • Experience configuring, installing and supporting virtualized infrastructures (e.g., VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, cluster and cloud solutions)
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking environments and certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or MCITP are desirable
  • Motivated team player who works independently and proactively
  • Confident communication in German and English (at least B2 level)
