About the role
- Reporter developing original content and executing stories for CBS News in Miami. Engaging with audiences through various social media platforms and covering breaking news.
Responsibilities
- Develop and executive enterprise content daily
- Cover breaking news when assigned
- Work with a photographer to gather and edit compelling video and captivating sound
- Work with news managers and producers to develop stories
- Produce content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and other social media platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to develop sources who provide tips and allow reporter to break exclusive stories
- Write clear, concise and compelling copy
- Ability to juggle multiple stories and projects at once
- Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays is required
- Flexibility to travel to big news events including breaking news
- Must be a team player who can multi-task and possess the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Journalism degree is preferred
