About the role
- Journalist producing high-quality and reliable content for Roole Media, focusing on automotive topics. Engaging with editorial teams and participating in enriching the editorial calendar.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the media's editorial planning.
- Actively take part in the weekly editorial meeting and contribute to the editorial calendar.
- Pitch article, video, interview and report ideas through active monitoring.
- Help build and maintain a network of professionals and experts to consult.
- Write news and in-depth articles on the media's main topics.
- Develop video segments (interviews, reports, etc.) in collaboration with the video producer/director, and present certain formats on camera.
- Edit and publish content in the content management system (CMS).
- Design content with distribution on platforms in mind (Google Discover, social media, etc.).
- Monitor content performance across different platforms (track statistics).
- Occasionally work with external providers or freelancers.
- Proofread some newsroom content and help maintain a high editorial standard.
- Participate in editorial discussions and challenge proposed angles and treatments.
- Ensure accuracy of information and high-quality writing.
- Continuously propose new topics, formats or editorial approaches.
Requirements
- Excellent writing skills and impeccable spelling and grammar.
- Strong sense of angle and ability to prioritize information.
- High journalistic rigor.
- Comfortable on camera to present video formats.
- Good understanding of digital media.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in journalism.
