About the role

  • Senior Environmental Professional managing due diligence projects for complex transportation and municipal clients. Overseeing assessments and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical lead for due diligence projects, overseeing scope development, risk prioritization, and alignment with client goals and timelines
  • Serve as the Environmental Professional of record for Phase I ESAs for projects ranging from a single property to over 100 properties along a project corridor
  • Author or review and sign Phase I ESA reports in compliance with ASTM E1527-21
  • Ensure technical accuracy, defensibility, and consistency with firm standards
  • Serve as technical lead for hazardous materials corridor studies for road, bridge, public transit, and municipal projects
  • Prepare and oversee hazardous materials technical reports for NEPA EAs, EISs and similar documents
  • Provide senior-level quality control review of deliverables, with a focus on regulatory compliance, data interpretation, and clear risk communication
  • Coordinate with site investigation team to perform Phase II ESAs or similar sampling programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Meet Environmental Professional qualification under 40 CFR Part 312
  • 8+ years of experience conducting and leading environmental due diligence and hazardous materials assessments
  • Strong technical writing skills with a track record of authoring and finalizing defensible, client-facing reports
