About the role

  • Construction Manager overseeing Work Verification and Quality Assurance on PG&E's Pole Reinforcement Program. Ensuring project compliance with standards, regulations, and timely completion in California service territory.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Work Verification and Quality Assurance on the Pole Reinforcement Program, System Inspections
  • Supports Standards adherence, consults on proper execution of work and project site details
  • Coordinates with construction crews, oversees project inspectors
  • Prepares job packages and construction estimates, conducts job walks, meets with bidders, contractors, and governing agencies
  • Ensures projects are completed per company standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction
  • Travel approximately 50% with occasional overnight stays
  • 7 years working experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction (Desired)
  • Knowledge of Utility Poles and PG&E Standards (Desired)
  • Demonstrated abilities in cost accounting, contract administration, and project scheduling (Desired)
  • Demonstrated abilities in project inspection and quality control (Desired)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Electric Transmission and Distribution Construction (Desired)
  • Strong project and people management skills (Desired)
