About the role
- Director of GIS Program Delivery at PG&E focusing on modernizing GIS ecosystem under the Elevate Program. Leading cross-functional teams to implement scalable enterprise-wide GIS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Direct PG&E’s journey to modernize our GIS ecosystem under the Elevate Program
- Lead internal IT and external program resources
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and application owners
- Oversee all technical workstreams for the Elevate Program
- Plan for and structure the program delivery of Elevate
- Ensure alignment of the technical solution to business objectives
- Manage large program budgets (over $100M) and hundreds of resources
- Mentor and coach high-performing teams
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 or more years of experience in progressively responsible information technology and leadership positions
- At least 2 years in leadership role
- 7+ years of experience in Technology/GIS leadership roles, preferably in utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- PMP or comparable project management certification
- Experience with 5+ large scale/full-cycle technology implementations for a utility pertaining to critical asset and particularly spatial data
- Fluency with GIS product architecture of Esri and other utility GIS applications/platforms
- Implementation of cloud-based GIS architectures and integrations
- Track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and complex technical programs
- Willingness to fully relocate to San Francisco Bay area and commute into Oakland, California office at least 3 days a week
