About the role

  • Compliance & Risk Consultant managing the compliance and audit process with the CPUC at PG&E. Responsible for stakeholder coordination, data management, and quality assurance in audits.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing Stakeholder Meetings: Arranging and leading kick-off meetings with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure everyone understands the audit’s goals, timelines, and what information is needed
  • Coordinating Data Requests: Breaking down pre-audit data requirements, assigning questions to the right business units, and overseeing the collection of responses and supporting documents
  • Quality Control: Reviewing all submitted data to make sure it is complete, accurate, and confidential information remains protected
  • Facilitating Audit Walkthroughs: Planning and leading on-site reviews with external regulators and internal teams, documenting observations and ensuring audit requirements are addressed during the walkthrough
  • Managing Additional Data Requests: Handling new or follow-up data requests that arise during or after field audits, assigning them for response, and checking that replies are complete and confidential
  • Responding to Audit Findings: Reviewing the final audit report, identifying and quantifying any violations, and working with other departments to develop responses and improvement plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of relevant working experience
  • 4 years of experience in compliance (preferably with CPUC)
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Experience conducting audits and ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures
  • Process Mapping Expertise: Ability to visualize, analyze, and optimize workflows across diverse functions
  • Technical Writing: Skilled in developing clear, concise guidance documents and standard operating procedures
  • Lean Methodologies: Certified in Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or recognized as a Certified Problem Solver, with a proven track record of driving process improvements
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to varied audiences
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments, fostering alignment and shared ownership of outcomes.
