Construction Project Engineer supporting commercial construction projects at Gray. Assisting in project management, coordination, and procurement activities.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in coordinating the design and engineering between various engineers for the customers’ process, equipment and installation.
Perform estimating, bidding and subcontract procurement on projects.
Reviews and approves invoices.
Assist the Project Manager with the coordination and scheduling of the construction management activities on projects.
Develop, maintain and report project status to the customer.
Assist the Project Manager to develop project proposals.
Create and maintain departmental electronic files, forms, and brochures.
Read and route incoming mail.
Locate and attach appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by manager.
Compose and process routine correspondence.
Organize and maintain file system, and file correspondence and other records.
May coordinate proposal and bid package information or coordination of document release.
May coordinate tracking contact status, vendor relations, meeting minutes.
Conduct research then compile statistical reports.
Coordinate and arrange meetings and events, including preparing agendas, reserving and preparing facilities, and transcription of meeting minutes.
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university – Architecture, Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Construction Management Degree.
Ideal experience is working on commercial construction projects OR experience within distribution or industrial environments.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones.
May also require working knowledge of scheduling applications.
Should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
You should be able to lead by example at all times and be able to listen and follow all instructions provided by the PM team.
