About the role
- Data & Analytics Lead responsible for shaping the data function at Hive Health. Collaborating across teams to drive data-informed decision-making in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Own and shape Hive’s data and analytics function
- Define and operationalize a data and analytics strategy aligned with Hive’s organizational goals and strategic priorities
- Partner with business units to identify, prioritize, and scope high-impact analytics and data use cases
- Translate business needs into clear analytical frameworks, metrics, and reporting requirements
- Ensure the right data architecture, tools, and platforms are in place to process, analyze, and scale healthcare and operational data
- Oversee data governance
- Enable and scale self-service analytics by developing standardized datasets
- Drive the development of high-impact dashboards, predictive models, and analytical insights
- Champion a data-informed culture by promoting experimentation and continuous improvement
- Lead, Manage, and be Accountable for Hive's data function and its outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data, analytics, data science, or related roles
- Minimum 3 years of experience with direct team management, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience working with and leading analytical work in cloud data environments (GCP BigQuery preferred)
- Nice to have: hands-on exposure with a modern data stack (e.g. dbt for transformations, an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Prefect, and BI tools such as Looker Studio, PowerBI, or Metabase)
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical solutions
- Curious, results-driven, with a strong ownership mentality and growth mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative team player who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Passion for innovation in healthcare and using data to improve patient and member outcomes.
