About the role

  • Senior Associate providing expert service in insurance compliance at ORIX USA. Managing a diverse portfolio while leading junior analysts and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding service to internal and external clients
  • Aid in the effective management of our complex insurance portfolio
  • Act as a subject matter expert to both the department and leadership team
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of the insurance compliance review process and overarching insurance market trends
  • Provide management, leadership, and direction to the insurance analysts
  • Maintain a portfolio of loans
  • Complete insurance compliance review for each collateral within the Servicing portfolio
  • Ensure all insurance files include accurate representation of loan requirements
  • Review policy documentation from borrowers and insurance agents
  • Make timely requests for additional information and corrective measures
  • Remediate non-compliant insurance with clients
  • Respond timely to inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Monitor reports and deadlines
  • Assist junior team members with workflow and quality checks
  • Train and develop junior team members on core position requirements and functions
  • Assist in compiling data samples for department audits
  • Work professionally and harmoniously with the team

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance selling, underwriting, claims, or CRE insurance
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate mortgage industry of commercial insurance compliance processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant systems or software
  • Ability to educate others, able to translate insurance concepts into clear actionable information/instruction
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities
  • Ability to learn quickly and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
