About the role

  • Therapist developing open relationships with patients and working with mental health groups. Responsible for case load and treatment plans, providing behavioral health education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an open, collaborative relationship with patients
  • Work with mental health groups in addition to a case load M-F 8 hours
  • Carry a client caseload as assigned
  • Responsible for determining the client & participant's strengths/weaknesses and needs to assist clients in developing a treatment plan within 7 days of admission
  • Monitor and document assigned clients progress toward the treatment plan
  • Provide behavioral health education in counseling sessions
  • Conduct Intake Assessments with required documentation
  • Attend weekly supervision meetings and any other supervision that is required

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate the ability to develop an open, collaborative relationship with patients
  • Proficient in the performance of the 12 Core Functions of Counseling
  • Active participant in the programs Continuous Quality Improvement efforts
  • Knowledge of counseling theories and DSM V
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned clients are given random urinalysis according to State and Federal guidelines
  • Must keep client records up to date including transition planning
  • Responsible for client confidentiality as regulated by Federal guidelines
  • Responsible to adhere to confidentiality regulations and rights
  • Responsible to up-to-date license for position
