About the role
- IT Portfolio Delivery Manager overseeing the execution of Orica's global IT project portfolio. Leading project management teams and ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the delivery strategy for Orica’s global IT projects portfolio
- Allocate and manage project management capacity across a dynamic pipeline
- Ensure alignment with business priorities, value drivers, and strategic outcomes
- Implement and chair robust governance forums and steering committees
- Promote consistent adoption of project management frameworks (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Hybrid)
- Ensure adherence to Orica’s PMO standards and delivery excellence
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and analysts
- Act as the primary liaison for project sponsors and senior business leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in IT project and portfolio delivery
- Proven success in leading complex, high-impact technology projects
- Experience in PMO or program management leadership roles
- PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification (strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of IT domains (applications, infrastructure, security, data)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in risk management and modern IT systems.
