About the role

  • US Benefits Analyst ensuring accurate and reliable benefits programs at OpenAI. Operate at the intersection of systems, data, and employee experience to support a growing workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and maintain accurate U.S. benefits data across Workday and vendor systems.
  • Review and reconcile benefits vendor invoices; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Serve as a front-line resource for employee benefits questions, providing clear and empathetic guidance.
  • Maintain benefits elections, eligibility, and configurations in Workday.
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, HR Systems, and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Support key benefits projects such as open enrollment, audits, ongoing operational reviews, and compliance.
  • Identify recurring issues and help improve how benefits are administered at scale.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting U.S. health and welfare benefits and/or retirement plans (e.g., 401(k)).
  • Hands-on experience with Workday, including transactions, configuration, and audits.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data and reconciliations.
  • Clear written communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
