About the role
- Senior Software Developer developing software-based intercom systems for live production tools. Collaborating in agile teams and optimizing databases for reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Development of a software-based intercom system built on a modern Kotlin stack
- Responsibility for developing and maintaining complex microservices based on Kotlin
- Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for reliability and scalability
- Close collaboration in an agile development environment with frontend and other teams
- Active participation in architectural decisions and implementation of principles such as Domain-Driven Design and functional programming
- Development of audio-mixing and transcoding components for real-time communication
- Writing unit tests and working closely with the Automated Testing team
Requirements
- Several years of experience developing with Kotlin, particularly in building and operating backend services
- Strong proficiency with SQL and relational database schemas
- Experience with distributed systems and functional programming principles
- Familiarity with containerized architectures
- Basic knowledge of Rust or C++
- Experience with media technologies such as WebRTC, AES67, or Opus
- Fluent English for communication in an international team — German skills are a plus.
