About the role

  • Project Engineer providing commissioning and training services for live production tools by RIEDEL Communications. Collaborating with teams and customers for successful project management in broadcast and entertainment sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver commissioning and training services on-site and remotely.
  • Coordinate closely with Riedel teams and customers to organize and prepare on-site services, including all required content and materials.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Pre-Sales to create and follow Scope of Work documents and manage customer expectations professionally throughout the project.
  • Ensure that all pre- and post-commissioning documentation is complete, up to date, and properly handed over to the relevant Customer Service teams.
  • Work collaboratively within the Customer Success team to collect, organize and share knowledge on products, industry standards, emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Support Demo and Pre-Sales teams in complex demo, POC and exhibition setups and lead cross-departmental projects when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant field, ideally broadcast or entertainment
  • Willingness to travel and high mobility
  • Solid experience with broadcast production workflows
  • Knowledge of digital media standards, especially video and audio over IP (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110)
  • Understanding of network architectures and deployments (a plus)
  • Completed university degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., CCNA, ACE, IT, electrical or communications engineering)
  • Strong customer communication skills, a troubleshooting mindset, and a self-organised, team-oriented working style
  • Fluent in English and German (additional languages are a plus)
