About the role

  • Join Omnisend as an IP Lawyer managing the company’s intellectual property strategy and enforcement. Collaborate across teams to safeguard innovations and ensure compliance in law.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive Omnisend’s intellectual property strategy, protecting our brand, products, and technology across trademarks, copyrights, patents, and emerging IP areas.
  • Build and maintain practical IP policies and processes, and act as a trusted advisor to product, engineering, design, and marketing teams on brand use, product features, marketing assets, and innovation-related risks.
  • Lead IP enforcement efforts, including trademark and copyright protection, infringement monitoring, domain disputes, takedowns, and misuse investigations, while overseeing IP aspects of contracts, licensing, assignments, and commercial partnerships.
  • Support the development of our technology patent portfolio through patentability assessments, filings, and competitive landscape monitoring, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Stay current on evolving IP laws, and enforcement trends, proactively advising the business on risks, opportunities, and improvements to our IP posture.
  • AI & emerging technologies: We move fast with AI. Legal experience around AI is a strong advantage to help us push boundaries responsibly – enabling experimentation, supporting product teams, and spotting emerging legal risks before they slow us down.

Requirements

  • A strong background in intellectual property law, with knowledge of trademarks, copyrights, patents, brand protection, and enforcement practices in the EU, US, and globally.
  • 3+ years of hands-on IP experience, ideally within a tech, SaaS, or product-driven environment where IP considerations are part of daily operations.
  • A clear and open communicator who partners easily with product, engineering, design, IT security, and marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to build, improve, and scale IP processes – from registrations and enforcement to practical internal guidance.
  • Detail-oriented yet business-minded, balancing legal accuracy with solutions that work in a fast-moving company.
  • A proactive problem-solver who spots IP risks early, handles infringements confidently, and supports teams with pragmatic advice.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to support beyond core IP work and contribute to broader legal initiatives and cross-functional projects when needed.
  • Experience with technology patents, including patentability assessments, filings, and competitive monitoring.
  • Law degree with a strong IP foundation; additional IP-focused qualifications or certifications are a plus.

Benefits

  • Salary starting from **3800 EUR/month gross** (based on experience).
