About the role
- Junior Server Administrator responsible for IT administration of server and client systems at OMEXOM. Involves support, documentation, and onboarding of new employees in a growing team.
Responsibilities
- IT administration of Microsoft Windows servers, clients and mobile devices (Apple iOS and Google Android)
- Resolve incidents in 1st-level and, where applicable, 2nd-level support
- Onboard new colleagues and set up users and devices
- Assist end users with the use of software and hardware
- Document and track support requests in the Jira ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues to the responsible specialist departments
- Maintain IT documentation and record processes and system changes in Atlassian Confluence
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in the IT field, e.g. as an IT specialist for system integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Atlassian Jira and remote support tools
- Initial knowledge in server administration and networking
- Terminology such as “DNS, Active Directory/LDAP, WireShark, PowerShell or OSI model” should be familiar, not foreign
- Experience operating Microsoft Windows servers is an advantage
- Experience in IT support or help desk roles is desirable
- Technical affinity and a curious mindset
- Problem-solving skills and a service-oriented working style
- Driver’s license (category B or class 3)
- Willingness to travel for regular regional assignments
- Good German and English language skills
