About the role

  • Assistant Manager in Rural Accountancy focusing on tax services for rural businesses. Leading a team and collaborating with Rural Advisers to enhance client services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tax-specific work within the wider rural portfolio
  • Collaborate closely with the Rural Advisers and liaise with the Tax Team
  • Support the Rural Advisers in preparing tax-related reports, accounts, and non-compliance work
  • Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns and accounts
  • Identify opportunities to add value to rural businesses
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with rural clients.

Requirements

  • Solid accountancy background
  • Experience handling tax aspects of client work
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with rural clients and colleagues
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.
