  • Accountant responsible for managing daily financial operations at Oikonomakis Law Firm in Athens, Greece. Handling accounts receivable, budgets, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial operations.
  • Manage the firm’s accounts receivable, including invoicing, collection efforts, and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure timely payment.
  • Monitor and analyze outstanding invoices and generate reports on collection activities.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding the status of collections and any potential issues.
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Ensure ethical and legal compliance.
  • Analyze financial data.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage budgets.
  • Conduct variance analysis.
  • Process payroll.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure financial efficiency and transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial/accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English (both written and speaking).
  • Further knowledge on any additional language, double-entry bookkeeping and payroll is desirable.
