About the role

  • Rotating Equipment Engineer at Nutrien responsible for rotating assets reliability and maintenance guidance. Act as a subject matter expert for root cause analysis and executing maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and maintenance intervention guidance for rotating assets to enhance plant reliability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in reliability focused studies including root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Supervise coordinates and manage the execution of Maintenance and Engineering projects.
  • Provides coordination and supervision of outside contractors or consultants.
  • Analyze rotating equipment deficiencies and/or failures and recommends corrective actions.
  • Develop major overhaul scopes for plant equipment based on known problems and machinery performance.
  • Provide both formal and informal training to maintenance and operations personnel.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical plant or similar environment with responsibilities involving process engineering, maintenance, or operations is required.
  • Demonstrated Expertise in Turbomachinery and related equipment is required.
  • Working Knowledge and Understanding of relevant API and ASME codes and recommended practice is required.
  • Knowledge of asset protection and condition monitoring hardware including vibration analysis is required.
  • Professional Engineering Designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of ammonia, urea, and nitric acid manufacturing processes is preferred.
